In addition to being a proud co-owner of Jan Perry Realty & Associates, I am also a second generation Realtor with over ten years’ experience in the industry. My life experience has been multifaceted, with previous careers focused on Health and Wellness. Before getting into Real Estate in 2009 and for nearly a decade since then my professional roles also included that of yoga teacher, body worker and a wellness center creator/manager.
I am deeply ingrained in the business world, having spent 43 years as an executive for the New York Times Regional Newspaper Group and MediaNews Group, eventually being appointed to the position of president & CEO of New England Newspapers, Inc. and publisher of The Berkshire Eagle.
Integrity, honesty and market knowledge are the three most important attributes in our professional lives as Realtors. With over 35 years of customer service, mortgage banking and Real Estate sales experience I am able to successfully combine these attributes, along with my tireless enthusiasm and a commitment to professionalism to make the experience of buying or selling a home as stress free as possible.
I was born and raised just over the border in Troy, NY but my grandmother grew up right on Fenn St in Pittsfield. Sixty years ago she moved to Albany, NY to marry my grandfather and rest is history. At the age of 22 I came to Pittsfield with my grandmother to attend a family wedding. I didn’t know a single person. I met my now husband, Mike, at that wedding.
